Occasionally families request the help of a volunteer for their family. Usually FRS uses volunteers to provide support to the brother or sister of children in our program. It might mean taking the child out for a few hours, being a mentor or just giving a few hours to help the parents know their child is having some fun with another person.
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and must be screened through Family Respite Services. Family Respite Services provides an orientation about the roles and responsibility of the volunteer and provides ongoing support and contact for the volunteer and the family.
Persons interested in volunteering should contact Clementine Matassa at FRS.
